Inabalance Yoga
Jen Scandolera
Inabalance Yoga was founded in 2011 before finding its permanent home in Orrvale in 2013.
Enter the zen garden into a space has an earthy feel with a 9 circuit labyrinth along side.
Jen Scandolera is a trained yoga, pilates and fitness instructor with over 25 years in the fitness industry. Jen has a passion for fun in fitness and helping people which carries through to her style of yoga. She believes the body loves to move and this is the key to a wholistic, healthy, happy outlook. Movement can be dynamic or gentle, flowing or more sedate, as long as you are listening and honouring it your body will tell you what it needs.
Jen came to yoga through a back injury induced from over activity, this allowed her to begin her study of yoga in 2010. Jen spends time in constant inquiry of yoga, energy work and spirituality though courses, classes and personal practice.
In 2020 we all had to adjust to a new way of being and for Jen it was even more so as a major unexpected health issue arose. Covid lockdowns allowed Jen to retreat to nurture herself and has come out with more gratitude and self awareness than before. What a gift. This also afforded her time to study and practice Qigong more regularly and with her curious nature, delve more deeply into the world of energy.
The pandemic also encouraged Jen to think outside her comfort zone and offer some online classes while unable to be in person at studio.
Jen believes that all things happen for reason, even though our eyes may be clouded to those reason at the time, often with time and hindsight, wisdom is revealed.
"Yoga is like Pandora's Box, once you open the lid, you realize you will be learning your entire life and still won't uncover all it has to offer."
